Masquerade

Ever since I knew what celebrating Halloween was, it has remained my favourite. There’s just something about that day which is equal parts scary and exhilarating. It’s not just the fact that it’s my birthday eve. I guess, the concept of dressing up and getting to be something else, anything else, than who you are, spoke to me.

It is said that the veil between this and the otherworld drops on Halloween. And the spirits come out to roam our world. What if our inner spirits come out too. It’s the perfect opportunity for people to hide their true selves amidst the layers. Or perhaps finally the chance to showcase it. Without getting judged. Because let’s face it. We’re all afraid of judgment, aren’t we?

But who’s judgement exactly – theirs, or ours?
